How REX works.
REX uses patented materials and X-ray fluorescence to capture, measure, and report the dissolved metals in a flowing liquid, automatically, in real time, and without consumables.

The process, step by step
Water flows between two plates of our proprietary, patented material, with a voltage placed across them. Ions are attracted to and attach to the appropriate plate depending on their charge. After a set period of time, X-rays fluoresce the collected ions, which are then counted and analyzed by our state-of-the-art detector.
Our proprietary software then sends the results to the email recipients you designate. Every detected element is reported, and any metal that is out of specification is printed in red for easy identification. If process controls are in use, the appropriate actions are completed at the end of the run. Finally, both plates return to their ground state, releasing the collected ions back into the flow stream, preparing REX for its next analysis.
Installation and operation
When your REX arrives, call your sales representative to schedule installation. Your instrument ships from the factory pre-configured to the settings on your purchase order, including the metals to be analyzed, the frequency of analysis, the destination emails, and your process-control parameters.
Your representative unpacks the instrument, inspects it for damage, transports it to the installation site, installs it, and performs an initial run to confirm that every feature works to specification. From there, REX operates under flow conditions at the site of concern with no consumables and no user interface required, performing wellness checks and self-calibrating before each run.
